There are only a few must-attend conferences a year for wedding and portrait photographers. One of them is WPPI. It always takes place in Vegas…and I’ve heard it’s always a week full of inspiration, revitalization, networking and valuable experiences.
This year marked the first time I attended WPPI. AND it marked the first time I ever set my size 10 foot into Sin City. I learned several things during the 6 days I was there. Many of the lessons won’t mean a thing to anyone else but me. They were lessons in internal growth. Some I will share as time goes.
I can’t exactly say I came home refreshed since I felt utterly exhausted for a good week after I got back to Kansas City. But I can say I returned with a new fire in my gut to do what I love to do, and to do it well.
One thing I did while there was participate in a shoot out…in the desert!! (I did a teaser post about this a few weeks ago)….Here are some images that I took…of a beautiful model named Anna Lake. The other info about the event is:
Mentor: Victor Sizemore Photography
Styling by Summer Watkins of Grey Likes WEddings
Jewelry by Historical Jewels
Make Up & Hair by Jill Guin of Darling Bride
And yes, she’s a Cameron Diaz look-a-like. So jealous.
Can you tell why I LOVED the shoot? It feels good to have an experience that is outside of the norm. ANd please, brides…feel free to steel that look with a chunky necklace and LARGE hair piece yourself!!! xoxo
