Jenn & Ron Engagement Session: A nearly winter-less love

Until recently, Jenn lived in the fourth largest city in Alaska — Wasilla. (You might be familiar with the name thanks to one of the VP candidates of this just-ended election.) Ron owns a peach and hay farm here in the Show-Me State, where he lives with his daughter and son.

How did Jenn & Ron’s paths cross? Thanks to online dating, Jenn found Ron. And Ron found Jenn. And now she has abandoned the Last Frontier to start a new life, one that will surely be a bit warmer year-round.

Jenn didn’t come alone though. Her two daughters and grandson now live here, too. And their very friendly dogs, Kelly and Annie.

When Jenn and Ron marry in May, they will be marrying more than one another. They will be marrying each’s family. To symbolize the ONE family from two, Jen didn’t want to do just a regular engagement session. So I headed out to their beautiful land outside of Kingdom City and in weather that was more September than November, we had some fun.

What a gorgeous family. All of them.

Let’s not forget their dogs. We were lucky if they were both in the pic at the same time. Even luckier if their backs weren’t to me.

One of my faves:

Similar idea… but different perspective.

I love this one. My fave of the group I think.

Ok, wait. Maybe this one is my favorite.

And then we shooed the crew away for some pictures of the two lovebirds. Let me just say…their love was inspiring. Ron might look like he’d be a tough cookie. But he’s not. He had no problem in front of the camera, and Jenn downright glowed.

Did I mention that I think Ron secretly LOVED modeling? Because this was inspired by HIM.

They put on their jumping boots for this one 😉

Ok…so how gorgeous is she? A LOT gorgeous, eh?

This one makes me chuckle. You can’t plan for this stuff.

I usually don’t have favorites that would actually be categorized as more traditional. But there is something about this that I love. Maybe it’s because both of them look soooo good here. Or Jenn’s flirtatious tilt of the head combined with his protective embrace. Sigh. I love it.

And to close it out…Yummy fall. Yummy love.

Jenn, Ron, Brittany, Machaela, Malakai, Nicole and Max… (and my new pals Kelly and lagoon-loving Annie)… thank you so much for welcoming me into your home. You truly are a family already.

  • Mark - This may be one of my favorite e-sessions I’ve seen in some time. I really love the “entire” family aspect of it with the two families coming together. And OMG that shot with the dog is just wonderful.ReplyCancel

Malakai said “Annie’s saying, oh no! they’re kissing again!” LOL!
