The significance of frozen treats…

Ice cream was so important during this session. And the funny thing is… I never got to see any!!
Why? Well, it turns out, Ashley bribed John with promises of ice cream if he made it through the engagement shoot as a good sport. And yes…that he did. 🙂

We began our evening at the MU columns. It’s a choice selection for anyone who goes to the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Gradually, John started loosening up. I mean, how could you not if you have someone as cute as Ashley staring up at you?

This is where the competition began. John tried so hard to out-pose his woman. I think he beat her here. 🙂
And then she turned on the fun. And look how friggin’ cute they are!! I think this is one of the day’s faves. We had to get some “normal” pics so the parents would be happy.
I spy…a couple in love…

Man, they are such good leaners!! haha
Another of my faves. That is the stunning Memorial Union in the background.
More of them just having some fun together…
I love this picture. The shadow. The ring. The simplicity of holding hands. Sigh.
Then we went on the hunt for that brick wall that every couple wants. And the pose idea came from my assistant, another Ashley. 🙂
Off to the winery…Les Bourgeois in Rocheport, Missouri. Luckily the weather was quite mild in comparison to that of the previous days.
Yummy. I think those will make a nice glass of chardonnay someday. (and to all you wine experts, I apologize if I have no idea what I’m talking about. I’m just guessing they’ll go toward yummy white wine!!)
The colors were so rich. Like their love. (Sorry, thought it’d be appropriate to serve some cheese with that wine!!)
Darling. Just darling.

They just look cool.
It was hard work. They got thirsty. I just drank my tea. 🙂

Even though he looks like he’s wrinkling his nose….I know for a fact he loved this. 🙂
Ain’t she perty? 🙂
It started getting dark…so we did one last one for Mom and Dad.
And we borrowed the bathrooms as a backdrop… love me some texture… HOT.
Ashley and John…there are plenty more where these came from! So hang tight and I’ll get them done. Thanks sooo much for letting me get to know you both. You are such a lovely couple and I wish you the best. 😉

And John…I do hope she bought you a big huge cone of something yummy because you truly deserved it!!

But I really like the one of the full shot of Ashley and John standing in the vineyard with only Ashley looking at the camera and John OR COURSE staring at his beautiful girl.
